June Update

 Hello everyone and welcome to June and this month is the first month we get photos!!!!!!!!

So without any further adieu

The first photo has me cooking!!!!!!

The second photo has me playing the drums on an iPad which went through a PA… yeh loud as.

The third photo has me doing some cultural art at Abilities Unleashed. I made a whare with the stars of Matariki above.

And the last photo has me at the movies watching the Michael Jackson movie, which was freaking amazing!!!

On top of these things I have also been up to a huge lot of other things such as:

Being a tidy kiwi and picking up rubbish, going on visits to Mitre 10 and to New World, getting informed at People First,

In house I have been involved with a lot of prop making for our upcoming concert, DIY on our sensory room, doing a lot of water sensory activities involving bubbles. Learning more about computers and watching funny home videos.

And finally, I went to watch Paddington at Sonic theatre. 

It has been quite a busy month.

Cup Cakes

Here I am as a pool shark.

I was pretty good too.

Cooking: We made cup cakes!! With some mean cream cheese icing, it must of been good cos everscoffed theirs.
 

Busy, busy, busy

Received some cool goods from Paper Plus.

Had an excellent jam session with my mate Bryn

And one on one dance action with Donner our I-dance instructor.

 

The Elms

Went to the Elms in Tauranga, and learnt a lot about our early history about the local area. We even had lunch there, there were tall trees and really old buildings

 

Blake Park Easter Egg hunt!!

Had to look everywhere including under the couches, found our clue in a guitar.

Went to Blake park for a visit, lots of grounds there, will show some in future blogs. 

 

Kale and Oranges.

Here I am at Abilities Unleashed, this was cool as art work because none of knew what was happening until we did it. Turned out to be a fantastic wee orange on a card. 

Speaking of oranges, here I am helping out with putting seedlings into some little garden boxes, some kale and cabbage.

 

Flour!

Shopping for flour, it’s the main ingredient for muffins!

Here I am appreciating one of my work mates amazing ability at karaoke. I’m surprised, our centre isn’t a top tourist attraction.

 

Dancing and crashing!

Here I am at I-dance having a one on one with Donna our amazing dance instructor.

This is sensory believe it or not, it may look like Need for Speed on the Xbox, but I get to hold the controller and every time I crash into a tree or another car (Mainly cop cars) the controller vibrates in my hands. I love it, I’m biding my time to ask the boss when I can get to drive one of our vans.

 

Bongo bongo

Out n about, visiting one of the gals from work. (I couldn’t get into the house.)

I plan on being a percussionist with a local jazz ensemble, I’m starting on the bongos.

And also the weather was beautiful so I spend quality time with my friends in the Historical Village in Tauranga

We made these cool birds at Abilities unleashed, glitter on the wings in everything.

Also learning keyboard, I like the soft pad sound the best

 

Working !

This is called being wise as it was very very hot to wash the van, so I washed it from inside the centre. Haha cheating I know 

Cooking chocolate square to be used as a thank you gift for Bunnings as they contributed to our Christmas raffle.

 

It’s 2026!!!

Yo, back to work and straight to the kitchen, busting out some yummy corn fritters for everyone!
